I've been playing tennis since I was about seven, and I'd like to be like my parents, who are in their late forties and still play tennis very well. My mum says it's a sport for a lifetime, and you can play at almost any age, from four to ninety-four, as long as you're mobile. I play doubles because I like having a partner. It's fun to strategize, and I feel I can't let my partner down, so that keeps me focused. Let's see if we'll still be able to play doubles together in thirty years from now.

I don't look at tennis as an easy-going sport, because frankly, it's not. If it was, then not many people would be into it so much. To me, it's probably one of the most competitive sports, because there's the added psychological game that you play against your opponent, and that your opponent plays against you. Tennis is a battle of willpower and minds, which demands a high level of concentration. It's either you win or you lose, so it's very intense and certainly not peaceful.

I haven't played tennis, but I'm thinking of taking it up mainly because of its relatively low costs. I mean, you only need to buy a pair of shoes, a racquet, and some balls, and then pay to use a court if you don't have a private one around. Of course, joining a tennis club or touring adds a lot of expense, but for most of us, regular folks, the costs of tennis are rather low. That's why I guess tennis is worth a try, and it's not as dangerous as, say, football.

Although I was born in Scotland, I've been living in Birmingham for a long time. I still go to Scotland from time to time. My friends don't understand why I love going to Scotland so much. Being raised predominantly in an urban area, they don't understand how gorgeous Scottish landscapes are. Scotland has stunning rivers and lakes, and Scottish mountains can just take your breath away. You can go on a hike and admire what you see for days on end.

My uncle lives in Scotland and I try to visit him whenever I can. We travel to various places of interest there. Scotland has so many of them. There are ruins of ancient castles and fields of fierce battles. And I love to wonder there, imagining what it was really like back then. I close my eyes and it seems to me I can see the Scottish nights on horseback. My uncle tells me a lot of exciting stories from the past. And I remember them much better than our school lessons.

I love Scotland. There are so many beautiful and mysterious stories connected with this country. Some of them are connected with kings and queens of the past, while others tell us about various mythical creatures, like Nessie. I think everybody has heard about this water monster. Some people even claim to have seen it and I tend to think it is true. Some scientists think there is more than one monster there. Wouldn't it be great to see it?

I think people love Scotland for different reasons. Some of them adore Scottish history, while others explore its beautiful nature. As for me, I love Scotland too. My roommate comes from Scotland, and I sometimes spend a day or two there at his parents' place. We usually go to a pub or restaurant, because Scottish National Cuisine just makes my mouth water. My personal favourite is certainly Haggis, though scones and soups are also great.

If you ask me, I think all those stories about Scotland as a beautiful country full of ancient castles and mysterious legends is just an exaggeration. I went on a tour to Scotland and I wasn't impressed at all. All those ruins are just ruins. Most of them are in a terrible state. I must say, Scottish food is too greasy for me. As for all those legends like the one of the water monster Nessie, well, honestly, I don't think a sensible person can believe such stuff. I don't think anyone can believe it. I don't think anyone can believe it. I don't think a sensible person can believe such stuff.

In my opinion, going to Scotland is a must for everybody. Where else will you see so many amazing things? If you are more about art, you can go to the Scottish National Gallery. Edinburgh Castle will enable you to see many things you will see nowhere else. Finally, there are many kilts and they play the bagpipes. It produces a lasting impression on tourists. Scottish traditions, food and architecture are unforgettable. So don't miss a chance to go there.

As for me, I love cooking. I can't say I cook very well, but my grandmother and mother are very good cooks. I love it when they have some time to teach me. It's quick, it's convenient and it's cheap. What can be better? I like it.

I know a person who is addicted to shopping. She has some financial problems because of it sometimes. I often tell her that she must control her expenses and plan her budget and stick to the plan. She says she can do it for a month or so, but then she goes on another shopping spree. I think she needs to think about why she does it. There must be some reason for compulsive shopping. If she finds it, it will be easier for her to control her behaviour.

Speaker D.

As for me, I have a credit card, but I never use it. I think the more we use it, the more we spend. Banks monitor what we buy and how much we spend and then you come across some targeted advertisements and you buy something you don't really need. I tried to pay cash because for me, cash is real money and the money on your credit card is kind of virtual money. And maybe it sounds strange, but I think it's like we don't have this money in real life.

Speaker E

I work as a babysitter for my neighbours. Generally, it's 4 or 5 evenings a week because I'm very good with babies. I spend what I earn on clothes and entertainment, but I always put aside exactly 20% of what I have earned. My father taught me this strategy. He says it's a good way of saving money and saving money is necessary because anything can happen and you need to be ready for it. I think I'll do the same when I work for all time.

In my opinion, there is no reason to save money. We live only once after all. If I get some money as a present or when I earn some money, I spend it right away. I love going to cafes and I also love drawing and painting and this is quite an expensive hobby, so I spend quite a lot of money on buying paper and brushes and paints. Prices go up all the time, so I don't see any reason why you should spend 10 pounds today on what cost 8 pounds yesterday.

Holiday or no holiday, if I have a business deal going on, I work. At Christmas, for example, I am often quite alone because I've got no family or kids, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying myself.
